As an offspring of Lima Alfa Contest Club (LACC), Leia Contest Club was established in the fall of 2005. A club call (LA9Z) was obtained, and a QTH was aquired. The club was first aired in ARRL DX Contest CW 2006, with a temporary W3DZZ antenna.

At present only antennas for 160 and 80 meter are erected, and we will therefore mostly do single band operations the first year. The antennas might be used on all bands.

More bands will be added, and a first tower was planned for 2007, but is now postponed to the summer of 2008.
